Too vomit or not ???
Yep. I walk, straight as I can and even put my arms straight up in the air to "open up the airways". That often works.

Band stuck and RNY stuck don't feel quite the same. Band hurts like you are going to die any second. I've never experienced that same pain with RNY. The few times it didn't sit well it was more of a general uncomfortable tightness rather than thinking I was being stabbed with a hot butter knife. I also find it a wee bit harder to get stuff back up with the RNY than with the band, but a few thumps to the sternum and bending over the sink generally does it for both. I have very little experience with getting stuff stuck but keeping it down, especially as a bandster.
I also did the too much soup thing shortly after my RNY. I agree it's probably just best to wait it out and let it trickle through on its own time. Encouraging puking right after surgery isn't the best, but considering the first thing I did after waking up from surgery was puke and nobody seemed to be that fussed about it, I can't imagine that a single instance of it is the worst thing that could happen to you either.

Considering you're in the pureed stage I wouldnt be forcing any vomiting unless of course you want to risk ripping healing incisions and staples.
Were not supposed to drink with meals however sometimes a sip of water is needed to push things down and soften things up...such as absorbent crackers (advice from my surgeon)

Lynette, I had a similar experience on Saturday - busy day and preparing dishes for two birthday parties = first time wolfing down food (an egg) and I thought I was dying while driving my truck down the highway. I was on my way to a party so I had to hide the discomfort, but I did go to the bathroom to rest for a few minutes.
Given we are three days apart (you earlier) in our recovery, I do not think vomiting is the best idea if it can be avoided. My incisions generally feel good but sneezing makes them pull.
I do have a question - why didnt you have some lasagna? The sauce and meat should be okay blended.
I made a noodle-less lasagna with protein powder thrown in the sauce (dont tell my husband) , zucchini and ground beef. I had no issues with it and did it ever taste good!
