Things I have learned in the last 14 days while on Optifast.....
1. I can survive without peanutbutter
2. I can survive without carb's
3. I can set my mind to something and meet my goal
4. Making a list of self-care items helps when all I want to do is eat away my emotions
5. Drinking lots of water does help with the headaches on optifast
6. Using different flavours of crystal light with optifast kept me from being bored with the vanilla flavour
7. Weighing myself everyday was not necessary and is a horrible habit that I am trying to break.
8. This forum is full of useful information and helped me feel not so alone in my journey
9. For me, sharing with friends and family about my WLS has helped in not feeling so alone in my journey.....and finally
10. at the end of today when I drink my last package of optifast ....I will go to sleep knowing that tomorrow (surgery day )will be the beginning of my new life

I have reached my goal weight ..... and LOVE my RNY !!!!!!!!!

Good luck tomorrow.Dont freak out if you get a different surgeon than Jackson. I only found out on Tuesday. Lot's of waiting so bring a book to pass the time.

I ended up on the 9th floor staff very nice. Kept pain well under control which was great. I was lucky to have a private room. You will do great.
