Meet and greet?
I really enjoyed meeting everyone.
The venue was okay but they really didn't understand the food situation for us. Some funky choices (salad with marshmallows, lemon horseradish squares?) and so much food wasted.
Patrina did a great job organizing the event.
I think this event will only get bigger and better!

It was great meeting you Linda.
I agree - Patrina did a fabulous job. And the food was weird. And expensive for the wacky choices. That dude is delusional I think - charging top dollar for food that I'd expect from a cheapy Legion Dinner at a mess hall. Certainly not 5 star! lol I'm surprised that place stays in business. Apparently there is a fancy dining room upstairs - I wonder if they get coloured marshmallows in their salad up there?
No offense to Port Dover people - but we ate lunch at a different place and the food options were just as bizarre. Including gold fish cracker croutons on a salad. I kind of felt like I stepped back into my gramma's neighbourhood in 1957.
Next year - more of the same great activities, more of the same awesome people, and better food! lol Now - off to put on my new t-shirt and get into bed!

I know I had a very good time! It was so nice to meet so many people that I have only read about before. Everyone looked so wonderful! It was truly inspiring. The slideshow of everyone's progress almost made me cry, you all totally rock! The transformations are phenomenal!!!
Patrina did amazing, especially given the time she had to work with. (Thanks again Patrina for putting it together for us!)
I know from talking to her, she tried to explain to the owner how little we would eat and what to avoid, but obviously unfamiliar with our situations, he just didn't believe her. He pretty much called her a liar when she told him how little food we would eat. She tried looking for other venues too, but needed facilities that would hold us all and allow room for the clothing swap, people to congregate and the vendors to show their wares. I don't doubt that with an entire year to plan the next one, and one under their belts ~ finding what worked, what didn't and what people enjoyed, next year's will be even better and we'll get to meet even more people!
Loved it.
