Platic Surgery Question

Karen...I can see your point, however, it is his choice to do a bit better than anyone else.  He gets paid exactly the same as the next Dr. who does a panni procedure.  Dr. Nan CHOOSES to reconstruct the navel...he doesn't have to, but that is his choice.

I consider it part of doing my homework.  There are many surgeons who do breast reductions...some will make it a point to ensure that the nipples are in as "normal" a position as possible...other surgeons just reduce and are not as concerned about the aesthetics...who would you go to...I know I would go to the one who does that little bit extra.

I also went to him for a reduction.  Much as he would have loved to have helped me, he was certain that he would not be able to remove enough tissue to have it be approved and he clearly stated that he would not put his practice into question by agreeing to do it.

Thanks for the info. I thought it would be a lot more than $3000 for the upgrade. I think I will start saving now for it.

all I can say is the answer to your question would be as variant as the surgeon choices you have........depends on a lot of DIFFERENT factors...as outlined in some of the responses provided above.  JUst like cost will vary and so will waht the surgeon will or will not do.

It's not about shopping for economical results (and I am not implying that ANYONE is)..just make sure you know what you are getting and that all of your questions are answered~!

when you say tummy tuck that is COSMETIC...and that is definatly not covered (from my understanding)...as far as pannilectomy...that's a different procedure for a different reason with different results.

and because I am waiting to see my plastic surgeon for my consult....I am glad to see the dialogue of this discussion and the other one that was posted, because it has also given me a few things to ask in addition to what I was already going to ask.

prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.

life is AMAZING when you continue on the right path~!.  Use your surgeons gift to the fullest~!
