You might want to take that very slowly, in very small amounts, if at all.  I personally dump in a BIG WAY from sugar alcohols and it ain't pretty.  I just can't handle more than a very small amount of that stuff.  Just be careful because even "no sugar added" or "sugar free" doesn't mean you won't dump.   I hope it all goes well for you.l

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

Frozen yogurt! Just buy some individual sized yogurts, or spoon some from a big container into something smaller and toss it in the freezer. At whatever stage you can have yogurt as normal, you can have it frozen.

I find all of the frozen yogurts too high in sugar.  :(

Edit:  Never mind, I misread, sorry!  I second that - freezing your yogurt works great and it's yummy.

I know, it's so good and so easy, and like you said, much lower in sugar than the ones you get at an ice-cream place. I'm not really an ice cream fan... it leaves me with a yucky, thirsty feeling, anyone else get that? But the occasional frozen yogurt hits the spot. Anyone know if whey protein will degenerate if you freeze it? Could you add protein powder to it before freezing it? I haven't tried freezing greek yogurt yet, I bet it's good too.

There are some protein powders that can be frozen, yes.  But you'd have to read the label for sure.  Eggface (Shelley) makes protein ice cream all the time.  I'll have to check which brand she uses.

I recently found out that adding a shake to iced coffee is to DIE for.  Can't believe it took me 5 years to learn that. haha

I get that yucky thirsty feeling from NSA ice cream. And it sort of stings my throat.  I've given up on it.  And my stomach has decided it doesn't like it either. Bleah.

Edit:  Okay, I looked it up on her site - she doesn't specify which brand she's using!  But in photos, she shows something called "Max Protein".  So maybe it can all be frozen! ?

Thanks! I googled it and it just looks like a high quality whey protein. I'll do some online research and also ask the guys at GNC this weekend about freezing whey protein... my initial online research yielded only one study that seems to say it's ok, but more study is probably needed.
I'm going to try to mimic a caramel machiato from Starbucks for my morning protein drink... I'm thinking unsweetened natural almond milk with instant coffee, vanilla protein and SF caramel syrup (I understand this won't damage the protein as long as I don't go over 70 degrees celsius and I consume it quickly afterward). Looking forward to experimenting!

My gawd, that sounds good. I love sf almond milk - just wish my Metro carried it! I can only find it at Walmart for some reason.   Let us know what you find out about freezing - I would love to try that.

Karen  -  Do you have a bulk barn near you?  I buy all of my almond milk there.  They have the very best price on almond milk  -  sf, which is 40 calories per cup, the lightly sweetened, which is 60 calories per cup and they may also have the 90 calories per cup.  They carry vanilla as well as the original flavour.   Shoppers Drug Mart carries it too, but it is almost twice the price.  The Super Canadian(?) grocery store carries it, also   -  can't remember the name  -  at a good price.

I never thought to check Bulk Barn, thank you.  That'll save me a trip to Walmart!  I always get the sugar free vanilla and the sugar free chocolate - they make an awesome base to a latte :)
