Anyone in Ottawa or surrounding area -- Need some Store Location Advice! :)

 Hello everyone! 

I am in Ottawa Ontario for the summer. I had my DS 3 months ago and I am shrinking! I need clothes! I was hoping to find some stores around the Ottawa Area where I can buy discount clothes, maybe good bin sales or second hand clothes. 

Anyone have any suggestions as to where I can go???

The first Tuesday of the month is a meeting here in Ottawa and there is usually a clothing exchange.  I'm not sure about stores, I don't live in Ottawa but have gone to Value Village in the past and found lots.

Where in Ottawa is the meeting? Is it a support group type of meeting? Could I bring someone with me?

You will see a posting in the next week or so about where and when.  I don't have the details on me right now.  I'll see if I can find them for you.  I can't see why you couldn't bring a person with you, has this person had surgery?

 Depending on your size range, Value Village and the Salvation Army Thrist stores can be a great sources of inexpensive clothing.  Google Map them to find the locations that may be close to where you'll be in the city as there are several to choose from.

Hi Maria.  Welcome to Ottawa!

There are several Value Village locations in Ottawa; one on Clyde near Baseline, one on Bank at Walkley, and one in the east end (I think it`s on Ogilvie Rd).  There are a couple of Salvation Army Thrift Stores as well: Bank at Alta Vista, Carling Ave across from the Westgate shopping centre near Island Park,  a big one in the east end but I`m not sure where.  There is a St. Vincent de Paul second hand shop on Wellington West about a block west of Holland.  This is just a beginning as there are other second hand shops here and there throughout the city, some of which are affiliated with churches and non-for-profit organizations.  Happy shopping!

YOu can also try UsedOttawa and or Kijjiji Ottawa on line...often there are some great deals.

You are in a good time of year, summer sales are on, Walmart marks stuff down a lot as OMG Fall stuff is coming within a few weeks.

And if you can Walmart Ogdensburg is only a 50 min drive from Ottawa, I got some amazing deals yesterday, Hoodies $5, tops $12.

any specific reason why I should head over to  Walmart Ogdensburg instead of other walmarts? .. I thought they were all the same? Or maybe not O.o! ... lol... Thank you for the wonderful advice!
