Did they tell you to have a list of questions ready to ask the doctor when you do your telehealth with him?  I'm not sure what I should be asking.  Any input is welcome as they said I'd only get a few minutes with him so I'd like to make them count....lol.

I think the teleconference is done as a group - maybe we'll all be in the same session.

that is the first i heard of it being in a group.  I thought the teleconference was YOUR pre surgery appointment with the DR and he will go over your chart and explain a few things and have a brief opportunity for questions then there will be a group education calss after that appointment to learn about post surgery i think but could be wrong

I just talked to Ron a few minutes ago and I asked about the teleconference.  He said we're brought in as a group, but we have individual face-to-face with the surgeon, kind of like an assembly line!  I obviously misunderstood the first time.  And I got good news, too!  My teleconference is set for June 21 - I'm in the third group of patients, and he said it appears that they're doing teleconferences once a month.  And he also confirmed about the third surgeon, but didn't know when they would be doing surgeries on their own.  I'm so excited.

 well I don't want to be the one the new surgeon tests on LOL..I'm not signing no papers for that..no way!! lol..Yeah they seem to be moving alone..not sure when the next person is scheduled for surgery..mine is a week today..so if you are in the third group they haven't sent many people yet..so good for you :)

Just out of curiosity, when did you have your scope done?  I'm just trying to get an idea as to how long I might be waiting for my teleconference.  I have had EVERYTHING else done and as I mentioned before, I'm not sure what I should be asking of the surgeon when I do get my chance.

So if you don't mind letting me know how long you waited from scope to the next step, I'd appreciate it.  Vivian and Kelly said that once the results of my scope were in, they'd send my file off to Hamilton and then I would hear directly from Hamilton with a date for teleconference and surgery.  So I'm not sure how long that might take.....

 well you can see my time line on here..but with mine there was a little mess up after the teleconference with Kelly and Vivian...after they got all their results and stuff, my chart sat in thunder bay for 3 weeks when it should have been in Hamilton..so this is why i say to keep on them for anything because you never know when something can go wrong..but Ron corrected everything and had all my paper work in Hamilton 2 days after i talked to him..Now I'm the first one out of the thunder bay center to be having surgery..so ladies if you find things going slow don't be afraid to call and speak up for yourself and find out whats going on :)

the appt with you and the surgeon is one on one..because there is confidential information..but when they do the class it will be as a group..you guys are lucky that you get to do it that way..they werent set up to do it with me and i had to go to hamilton to do with all..was worth it though...made a trip out of it and got to meet Joy..good luck to you all :)
