Finally got my pre-op call

I was starting to wonder if they would ever call but the pre-op department finally called this morning.  My surgery is on May 30th and my pre-op is on May 24th.  They offered Friday the 20th but the last thing I want to do is drive back home north on the 400 on Friday of the first long weekend of the summer.  So next Tuesday I will be in the home stretch!  Yay!

 Yeah I got mine too on friday..but they wanted me there for the 19th and I said ummm thats impossible i live 11 hours away lol..shes like oh yes it says here that you need the day before..so they put mine to May 25th at 1:45...Im getting soooooooo excited!!

I am getting excited too.  Not long now buddy!!!  We are almost there.

That's great news!  So happy for you, it's nice to see folks moving along now, instead of the holding pattern that has been going on.  Good luck with the optifast and surgery.

Thats great Trudy! Did you get an option of the vsg and rny or just the rny? I"m curioius because I havne't seen the surgeon yet and I really want the Sleeve.

I am getting the RNY.  I was told by the surgeon when I had my appointment that I don't meet the OHIP requirements for the sleeve but if there was a reason he couldn't do the RNY when he was in there that he would attempt the sleeve.  The sleeve is just not an option for most of us.  In Hamilton they have you sign papers acknowledging that we understand that when we meet the surgeon.  Best of luck to you :)
