Hi everyone.  Just wanted to let ya know that when you book a room at the Days Inn in Hamilton they offer a compassionate rate when you can provide a note from the doctor just saying that you will be at the hospital.  They don't need to know why, they just need proof you will be there.  The compassionate rate is $85/night.

WOW! Thats a heck of a lot of money for people to have to pay just so they can make an appointment, Jeepers Trudy, I live in Burlington and I"m only about 20 min from the hospital. I actually have a spare room if you ever need one and that goes for any of my fellow OH members. Just drop me a note if you'd like to :) !

I would suggest calling McMaster University.  During the summer the residences are pretty much vacant and rent out the rooms quite inexpensively.  The rooms are quite comfortable and there is a kitchenette for a quick breakfast or snack.

Yes.  The rooms are mostly two single bed size but they will accomodate three people.  You won't even be there for most of it so they will be fine in a two bed room.  Maybe they have information online that would give you a better idea.

I stayed there 13 years ago when I moved to Hamilton and I was very comfortable.

I found a link for McMaster but I find it pricey if you are having more than yourself staying
