Natural Mini Gastic Bypass- Need help for a friend
I agree with Karen. If it's the one for $480 - the stuff you drink - not worth the money IMO. From everything I've read, it's a fiber formula that expands in the stomach to give the feeling of fullness before you have a meal. Metamucil does the same thing and costs under $20. Psyllium fiber from the bulk food store costs even less and does the same thing.
I know someone who had the mini-gastric bypass and it is still surgery. They do get put under but only for about 30 minutes. She did lose weight but it took a longer time and she hasn't really maintained it. I don't know how successful it is or what the long term effects are as it is a fairly new procedure. However, during my journey, I did read a book from the doctor who does Big Medicine on TLC and he said that the surgery is a farce and didn't even want to waste any time discussing it in his book. Hope that helps.
Yes, it is surgery. Jen was asking about Natural Mini Gastric Bypass, which is a product that you drink, not surgery.
