Grilled chicken sandwich at Wendys (it's a lot)...or small Chilli

Personally I would stick with the salad with low fat or no dressing. if you have to be there.  I do enjoy Wendy's Chilli.  A small bowl fills me nicely.

The other day I ate one of my husband's chicken nuggets ( can't believe he even bought from McD's, but he did) and I ended up so sick I couldn't believe it.  I was vomiting and weak with heart palpatations, on ONE chicken nugget.  I even removed the coating and just ate the inside chicken.  It was horrible. I knew I shouldn't have eaten it but again, I figured at a year and a half out it wouldn't bother me.  I won't even drive through McD's again, never mind go inside.  They have nothing I want.

That was my experience anyway.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

you have given McDonalds a bad rap it doesn't deserve.

.honestly as I posted in my previous response you can still make healthy choices even at McDonalds.

chicken McNuggets well that wouldn't be one of my choices especially after watching the video on how McNuggets are actually made an in fact it looks like a big gooey paste.

Wendy's chili is awesome also...at 2 years post-op I have found pretty much something at every fast food place that I visit.

As I stated, this was MY experience.  I don't claim it's the same for everyone.  I still personally will never eat at McD's again.  Everyone else is of course free to decide.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

I'm finding that McD's is way too expensive to even bother with. We used to go a lot when my son was younger and got sucked into the Happy Meal pit. He must have had a hundred happy meal toys. When I went through his toys a couple of years ago I was stunned at how many he had.

I go to McDonalds almost everyday for lunch and this is what I have

a side garden salad with thai dressing
a side grilled chicken breast

&

(1) large iced coffee two splenda 2 milk (NO SYRUP)..which I consume after my 1/2 hr after my meal

I eat this pretty much 3-5/week for lunch..it takes the guess work out of ordering .  I used to order a grilled McMini and throw the bun out...for the same price $2.00 I get a (hot) grilled chicken breast and it's delicious

as long as you stay away from the mayo, buns and sauces you will be fine.

In fact a plain burger..I have been known to order a hamburger with pickles, and nothing else yes they still make it anyway you want and I never want the yucky bun anymore

check out the nutritional stats on almost any fast food place to help you make good choices...

NOT to mention that McDonalds and many other places have low carb/low fat items on their menus.

I don't know if this would work for you but how about "McDonald's at Home"?  Make your own baked nuggets and baked sweet potato fries.  Serve them in some fun paper containers you could get from the Dollar Store and tuck in a little dollar store toy.

Cute in theory - no "McDonald's Playland", which is half the fun. LOL
