Good Morning Everyone

Kinda funny I'm the one starting this thread...back to old times :)  As some of you know I'm struggling right now with eating issues but am trying my hardest to get back on track and that means to write on this thread.  This thread is an important one and glad that it is being kept going daily.  Being accountable is very important.

Scott and I are actually having a date night tonight...booked a hotel room with a jacouzzi so it should be wonderfull.  It's been a long 5 weeks since the hernia repair and we both need a little time away from the kids.  Hope you all have a great day and get out and enjoy the sun.

lots of coffee
12:00 - 1 cup cottage cheese/ yogurt mixture, 1 packet oatmeal
3:00 - protein shake
6:00 - going out to Boston Pizza so will order the 3 meatballs there
something for snack

30 minutes on treadmill

Hon - why are you starting your meals so late in the day?  I'm pretty sure this is WAY under the number of calories you should be taking in.  I would find it hard too to eat enough consistently if I didn't eat until lunch time.  Try putting a few more carbs back in your meals to up your weight a bit too...

Also- if your weight is low (I struggled with this after my TT as well), don't drink your protein drink as a meal.  Eat a real snack, and drink your PD in-between.  That was great advice from my surgeon and it worked.

B - coffee with milk/creamer (I got up late because I babysat my grandson last night and he slept in this am - so I'm not following my own advice today!)
L - 3oz pork chop with greek yogurt sauce
S - salad with feta cheese
D - dreamfields lasagna and one small garlic bun
S - a vodka and crystal light/pomogranate delish drink! ;)

exercise - 5k run

I play a bit of a mind game with myself to see how long I can go ( I'm seeing somone to try and deal with all these issues that have come up).  Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would be dealing with this...all a control issue right now.   I'm an educated woman who knows better Erica just having a bit of a glip in my journey right now.  I'm getting ready for plastics on June 17th so I really need to focus on getting healthy for that.

Thank you so much for your words and just know that I will gladly take a kick in the ass anytime to get me back into the real world.

I hear you.  I struggle with the same issues - reminiscent of my eating disordered days as a  youth.

I set myself a time schedule.  I drink my coffee before 10am.  I eat breakfast at 10:30.  Lunch at 12noon.  A snack between 3-4pm.  Dinner at 6pm. Snack each night at 9pm.  And I follow it religiously, even if I don't feel hungry.  Actually, doing this for a few months means that I usually am hungry at those times...my body is trained.

Use your protein drinks as a "filler".  You will lose weight after plastics due to the drugs and the tightening..you need to be in a place where you can afford it.  I find I went low QUICK and it was kind of shocking.  And I had a few lbs of room.  If you are low already, you might be in trouble.

Have you considered "making" your meals the day before - like a lunchbox?  And then working your way through them throughout the day?  Kinda like one of those pill boxes that remind you to take your pills?  I do that for work and it keeps me on track.  Weekends I don't, and I get a little off program...

Great to see you post LoriAnn. You need to start eating earlier in the day for sure. You should be eating 5-6 times a day to heal and get your strength back. I agree with Erica the protein drinks should definitely be for snack and not your main meal. You need to get some healthy carbs into you every single day (fruit, veggies, and whole grains). Fuel for your body to run on.
You don't need to be burning calories right now either so keep your exercise light.
