Excited!!!!
Well, what a day! I had my last 3 appts at HRRH( SW,nut and dr Glazer). I made it through the snow and spent 4 hours meeting with them. All is a go!!!! I meet with my surgeon again in 10 days to determine the surgery date!!!!! I can't believe this day is finally going to happen. Thanks to all that contribute to this forum. I have learned so much and they were impressed how informed I was. I'm ready to begin this great journey))
Tips for Newbies: go in prepared to answer questions about surgery, reasons for having the surgery, how your life will change and give some examples, start making changes to prepare for surgery, start taking your vitamins, etc, get as many tests before hand, sleep apnea test, blood work, etc. I didn't need a bone density or a scope/ ultrasound. I had 2 c-sections which didn't seem to matter.
Does anyone know if there's a support group in Belleville??

so happy for you! How was Dr. Glazer? I see him on the 26th along with the sw and dietician. I wish I knew now what kinds of vitamins they want you to be taking and what kind of protein, etc... that you should be buying/looking for. I suppose they'll give that information at the class?
There is a Quinte support group on here but there haven't been any posts in a really long time and no activity to be seen. Maybe you can send the group's administrator an email asking for more info?

Thanks! I'll check out the Quinte support group.
In the gastric bypass class they give you a very informative booklet outlining all the vitamins and where you can buy them. I chose the chewable life brand multi called spectrum and I take the wellese brand of liquid calcium and Vit D found at Costco for $9. They also want you taking b12.
You're not too far behind me...
