I Got A Call!

I got a call from Dr. Lindsay's office this morning - my next appt is April 11th and she said to bring 300 cash for my optifast. Does this mean I'll be on it for 2 wks or 3 wks! I can't believe how fast things are going!

Thats soo awesome!!!!   And that gives me hope lol... i go to meet the Dietitian and social worker next week.. and i was wondering how long it would take to get my last appointment!  Hopefully I get good news like you lol

 Hi congratulations on getting a surgery date.i when you go and pick up your Optifast i would ask how long she wants you on it.it sounds like you will be on for 3 weeks.i want to wish all the best of luck for a successful weight loss journey.keep your eyes on the prize.i am sending you hugs and positive vibes.keep posting on your progress.i hope i have encouraged you in some ways.

The humber rule that I heard is under 300lbs - its two weeks, 300-400lbs 3 weeks and over 400 longer (but don't remember exactly).

 I just had my appointment around 2 weeks ago or so with Dr. Lindsay and I brought $300, I am under 300 pounds & he and his receptionist advised their policy is now 3 weeks.  Everyone will be 3 weeks unless they need more.  No one thru Dr. Lindsay will ever go on Opti for 2 weeks anymore. He did say why but I can't remember.  Bring a few recycle shopping bags to carry the boxes.  They are approximately the size of a kid's shoe box but flimsy.

I am having my surgery in Ottawa. There, no matter what weight you are, you have to do 3 weeks of Optifast.  In the beginning it went by weight but now everyone does 3 weeks.

I have Dr. Lindsay as well and will start Optifast soon.  You don't have to wait too much longer.  I picked up my Optifast on Jan. 31st and my surgery is April 5th.
