Big time!!!
Lubriderm for extra dry skin;
Buffy soap bar from Lush, a bath/body product store, all natural (wow! it's the most amazing soap+moisturizer ever!!!! );
monitor water temperature so that baths/showers are not too hot; don't need soap on whole body all the time (soap for areas where bacteria can build.. but legs don't always needs lots of soap).
And my new best friend is Bio Oil! My skin soaks is up. I"m 13 months post op; my skin is much drier than it ever was before surgery but once I got into eating more variety of foods and meats it changed (oils/fats in the meet; olive oil).
I occasionally soak my nails in Olive oil. One OH member posted this suggestion and it really helps. She mentioned more 'technical' info about the composition of olive oil and how it's good for the nails.. but I can't recall right now.

Yes.
Ensure you're getting enough water/fluid into you.
It's also winter and has been a harsh winter for skin tone. The constant cycle of cooling and warming is murder on the skin. If your house isn't properly humidified either, it can be rough.
Exfoliate and moisturize...I use St. Ives original Apricot Scrub and Aveeno.

Yup I had dry skin also.....I still do but not near as bad as right after surgery....
I asked the GP and I did have to take an antihistamine a few times....she said it may have been due to the morphine.
Make sure your fluid intake is up there, I drink at least 3 liters a day, and that there is enough humidity in your place....
Everyday I use a body butter, and I even have to use more conditioner on my hair but when it gets really bad, maybe once every few months, I take an antihistamine......or I can't get to sleep because of the scratching....
Hopefully with the summer months, things aren't as bad.

YUP, felt like an old lady..LOL
skin looked all shrivelled up. NEED WATER! Drink more. Your skin will love you! Focus on that, and some moisterizer and it will solve your problem.

Yup this is very common after surgery. Dehydration will make it worse, try upping your fluids if you can. Also the lack of fat in your diet also contributes to this. Make sure your showers are short and not too hot. Slather on the lotion (I prefer body butter).
