I think I have screwed up... I have switched from my old faithful Tetley to herbal teas. I am not a huge fan of herbal or as I call them potpourri.

I have found a few that are not to bad... so here I was thinking cause they are herbal they are caffeine free....I dont think they are,.. Will it always say caffeine free on the box?

I've never come across any herbal teas that have caffeine in them.  What brand and flavour did you get?  I have tons of them in my cupboard, I can go look.  If you go down the ingredient list and it names nothing but flowers and **** like that  then it's true herbal.  If it says black tea then you know it contains caffeine unless they put decaffeinated black tea.   Some think, flavoured teas are herbal teas but huge difference.

Okay if you mean this chocolate mint one then it's just flavoured black tea.

If it's this chocolate chai one then it's completely herbal just like the package says.

And if this Chai then it's regular caffeinated chai tea.

I have had all 3 but I don't need to worry about caffeine.  If it says Herbal then it is definitely caffeine free but if it's doesn't say herbal anywhere then you have to look to see if they used decaffeinated tea like the Rooibos one says right on the box.

PC makes tons of other herbal ones.  The lemon one is really good.  That chocolate chai is not bad but I find it needs a bit more cinnamon added to it.  Celestional Seasonings also make some wonderful flavours like Bengal Spice.  I actually put one chocolate chai tea band and one bengal spice tea bag then i get some chocolatey spicyness and it's all caffeine free.  One of the 3 choices was herbal at least.  YOu did better than some that would think any flavoured tea meant herbal.

 I buy Tetley Decf.
I had a hard time finding it at first. The Superstore  and Food Basic both have it.
