Hi everyone

Has anyone heard of the death of a lady of 67 years old dying today after WLS??

Spoke to a family member, they still feel that they haven't got the whole story of what happened.

Heard there was some internal bleeding that they could not find the source and a few days after
the surgery she passed away today.

My prayers are with the family

It certainly is unnerving but am looking forward to hearing the whole story.

Very sad for the poor lady's family.  My thoughts are with them.

I have my WLS class on Wed, I'll ask for more details...
I'm sure that there was more going on, it's not often that someone dies from a fairly straight forward procedure...

Hugs
Jenny

My sympathies go out to the family. There shouldn't be any reason for this happening. I can only think that the surgeon isn't taking the care nor has the skills to do this surgery. The family will be in my prayers. Dave.

I'm sorry Dave, but I have to kindly disagree with you on this one. We all go into this surgery as high-risk and these things happen. We don't know what sort of co-morbities this woman had, she may have had one that contributed to her death.

Still, so sorry to hear of her passing.

I agree Karen.  Such sad news but again, this woman might have thrown a clot for all we know.  No point in speculating.
