OHIP APPROVAL FOR BREAST REDUCTION & PANNICULECTOMY

Hi Everyone.... Well let me first say getting this call today was a total shock
Last Thursday I went to talk to the surgeon about sending in the application for OHIP approval for a Breast Reduction and Panni , well the Dr. told me it will take about 3 weeks and when I left his office his nurse told me it would take about 2 weeks ,,,, Well this afternoon The office called me and all I could think of geesh that was a fast referral , but to my complete surprise I was APPROVED !!!!  I go next Thursday to talk to the Dr. and book my surgery date.

I have lost a total of about 89lbs and my weight has stabled I'm sitting at 162 lbs just 12 lbs short of my goal of 150 lbs , if I didn't loose another pound I would be happy so me getting this done at just shy of 8 months ( by the time the surgery is set ) I couldn't be happier . The breast reduction I have wanted and needed since I was in my 20's but no one would touch me because of my high BMI . I have to say I'm scared & excited all rolled in one. I know some may think this is to early but after speaking to the plastic surgeon I know this is my time !!!!

I will re post next week as soon as I have the exact surgery date !!!

Just out of caution DR.NIESSEN did my breast reduction 4yrs ago not to pleased be butchered me from one end of the armpit to the other i had seen his work  and it can not compare to what he had done to me.

Nancy ...sorry to hear things didn't go well with you , I have checked him out and my family Dr. says he is good so I'am taking his word . As far as I'am concered complications can happen with any surgeon and I'am willing to take my chances with Dr. Neissen . Every Dr. gets better with time and I hope in my case he has ! But thank you for your concerns !

congrats to you! i have been waiting 2 months and still nothing......i guess they don't have the guts to call and say i wasn't approved...the story of my life....i always get nothing no where in life no matter how hard i try...........there is no ways i couod have been denied yet i was,,,,,,,,,,,,unbelieveable!!!!!!
