Mike I am so sorry to hear of your tragic loss, my deepest sympathies to you in this time. We are all here for you if you need us and we understand you need some time. I understand somewhat what you are going through as a close friend (more like family) died in the same manner at Christmas time, he died in his sleep, thankfully, of a heart attack but he was so young and fit. Leaving behind devastated family and friends. Words can't even express how sorry I am to hear you lost someone so close to you and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Mike

I am writing to convey my condolences to you.  I cannot imagine the loss you are feeling right now.  I hope that you gather all the people around you that love you and try to remember all the good times you had with Glenn.  Try and think of all the fun times you shared and hopefully they will bring a smile to your face.  Please feel free to come on and talk anytime you like, we would love to hear any stories you would like to share of Glenn.  Take care.

Mike,

I am so very sorry for your loss.  Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.  Take time to take care of yourself!  Know that you not only have the love and support of your friends and family but or your virtual "family" as well.

Blessings,
Robin

Your Glenn sounds like he was a beautiful soul.  You will keep your memories in your heart, and they will sustain you in the difficult days ahead.  I lost my beloved grandfather 2 1/2 years ago (he was, for all intents & purposes, my "father"), so I know how incredibly overwhelming the sadness can be.  You will get through this.  Shortly after my Pop died, I came across a nice little saying that has stayed with me to this day - "Perhaps those are not stars in the sky, but rather, our loved ones shining down from heaven to let us know that all is well."  So my Pop is now a star, and perhaps you can think of your Glenn this way as well.

Take care & be well.

Dear Mike,

First I offer my most hearfelt condolences on your terrible loss. My heart aches for your pain.

And even though you are not able to hear this right now, you said you are keeping these notes and I hope this may help down the line...

Five days after I began my WLS journey, my 28-year-old son was killed. No one would have blamed me for setting aside what I had chosen to do. Instead I heard my son's voice telling me to live and be fully alive and that meant being healthy. Continuing to heal physically contributed greatly to the healing of my heart.

You will never get over this loss, it will never go away but with time and healing, you will step back onto life's path. I would encourage you to stay focused on taking care of yourself. You know Glenn wants that for you. Honor him through it.

Again, I am holding you in my thoughts and meditations for healing for your broken heart.

May Glenn's heart rest in peace and in the joy of flying free.

Raven

WOW! What a shock to have it be so sudden. I just read his obituary and he was a well loved man. Know we are all here for you if you need us. Imagine this is a bouquet of flowers since we don't have them here.

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.
