I have been sick and was having trouble eating, as nothing sat very well.  I bought some French Onion Soups at M & M Meat shops(16 g of Protein), just nuke it for 9 minutes and it was wonderful. Give it a try, I highly recommend it.

Hey Sue!  Sorry to hear you're not feeling well.  I hope that passes soon! I love that soup, but didn't realise it had that much protein! I'll have to get some.....it's been a long time since I had it! Take care!  Maggie

Hi SueRey. Yes M&M French Onion soup rocks!! I removed the croutons but ate the broth, onions & cheese. Very good & full of protein. Regards, Andrea.

Sounds wonderful, but how much sodium content is in that soup?  Try making a homemade onion soup in your crockpot, using less sodium beef broth.  Just a suggeston.   Patti K.

Carroll,  Here is the recipe  Crock Pot French Onion Soup 3 lg onions sliced  I would use the sweet vadilla type 3 tbsp butter or marg, melted 4 cans low sodium beef broth (14 oz. ea) 3 tbsp all purpose flour 1 tbsp worcesteshire sauce 1 tsp sugar 1/4 tsp pepper 1.In 5-6 qt. slow cooker, mix onions and butter.  Cover, cook on high heat setting 4-5 hours or until onions begin to brown slightly around the edges. 2. In small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of the broth, flour, wor. sauce, sugar and pepper.  Stir in flour mixture and remaining broth into onions.  Cover, cook on high heat setting 30-35 minutes or until hot. 3. Set oven control to broil.   Place bread  slices on ungreased cookie sheet.  Sprinkle with cheeses. Broil with tops 5-6 unches from heat 1-2 minutes or until cheeses are melted.  Place 1 slice of bread on each bowl or soup.  French bread works best, if making  for your family!! 4. to make it wls friendly, omit the bread, just add the cheese on top of broth in bowl, and melt 1-2 minutes.   Hope thi****s the spot!!  I don't see any reason why these couldn't be frozen after finished cooking, and then add the cheese just before serving. Patti K. p.s. you can measure the cheese for your protein count!!
