Thanks for your reply. Why do you do the no sugar, flour, pasta or sweets? Sounds almost like an underlying celiac d. problem. (or willpower beyond my greatest imagination). I can't imagine ever having dumping with your fantastic food choices. You've truly cut out all the evils I struggle with. I appreciate your post. Thanks :-).

Yeah, I have heard this as well. I was just curious. I said she didn't mention it, but I may have been wrong, as the seminar was so long ago it seems. I just remember the main two options she gave was the band or the RNY. I trust the doc though, if she doesn't offer it anymore, there must be a good reason why...

Thanks, T. :0) I'm feeling pretty good now. And I hate driving the 3 hours for my follow-up appts, much less a party (and I don't celebrate x-mas).

Hi everyone... I'm 6 days into my optifast diet... I have noooooo energy, and am having a hard time keeping my mind off food.... Any advice?

I went to Rita's seminar again this week and I hold back tears everytime I listen to her.
She goes over everything that can possibily happen in surgery, and she's up front about anything that can happen. I lucked out and had ZERO issues with my surgery. I was totally compliant with my after care in and out of the hospital and things turned out great. I lucked out not to have any infection issues (it's a roll of the dice)

What is your opinion of Dr. Kurtis Martin or Dr. Michael Columbus? I have seen both these gents, and will be seeing Dr. Butterfield for a 3rd opinion. (scardedy cat here)
Thanks for your time.Dr. Martin is great as well, he operated on one of our staff and she has had a great result. I just think it's cool that Dr. Butterfield has a band (she told me she doesn't mind that people know this). I don't know Dr. Columbus at all.
