Thanks Tony!!

I will be looking for a new support group, for my follow ups I will continue to drive to Pittsburgh.  Dayton is not too far from Mason, about 40 minutes. I will definately watch for the breakfast posts!

Hi Heather!!!

Welcome!

Keep an eye out for our next Dayton/Cinci breakfast...  We are seriously due for one!

Im not sure how far Mason is from Dayton  (I know a bunch of folks who live in Mason and work in Dayton)  so if you need a new bariatric surgeon or support group, let me know.

Good Luck!!  Four more days.....

Topic: RE: looking for plastic surgeon that takes Anthem medicare along with medicaid in ohio
Unfortunately, in the Dayton/ Northern Cincy area at least, finding a plastic surgeon who will accept insurance for a panniculectomy is extremely difficult.  Even if you meet the insurance qualifications for "medically necessary", the surgeons won't even submit it for insurance approval (they claim it is cosmetic only) because they do not want to accept the small amount of payment from insurance.   Even if the surgeon is part of the HMO/PPO.  How they can get away with ti is beyond me.

I do not know whether she takes your particular insurance, but the only person I know who accepts ANY insurance for that surgery is Dr Eslami in Dayton.  Her office is next to Kettering Hospital.  The surgeon who did mine no longer accepts insurance for it.

Topic: Weight Loss Support Group Meeting in Greenville Jan 5th
What a wonderful way to start out the New year by attending our support group meeting on Jan 5th at 6:00...Held in the basement of the Church of Christ, on East Main Street in Greenville, Ohio...There's a lift chair if you are unable to do steps...Our group name is called * Little by Little*...Myself, along with my good friend Marlene started this group almost 2 years ago...We have a great bunch that attend each month.

Our group is also open to those who haven't had weight loss surgery...There are no fees...If you would like further information, feel free to message me...

If in doubt about coming due to the weather, you might want to check with me first before coming that evening to see if the meeting has been cancelled or not...

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only TRUE FRIENDS will leave footprints in your heart...And may that friendship have such a ONENESS that when one weeps the other will taste salt...Friends are like balloons ; once you let them go you can't get them back....So I'm going to tie you to my heart so I never lose you.

I currently have Anthem blue medicare (a medicare HMO) along with a secondary of medicaid.  I am seriously in need of skin removal due to yeast infections and open sores.  Anyone that can point me in the right direction i would appreciate.
Thanks in advance
