Hi!
We all have those stalls. It happens. One day you will step on the scale and lose a few pounds. Try shaking up your diet a little. Maybe you need to switch by adding something or taking something away. Try to get all protein in first. How much weight have you lost so far?
Your age contributes to weight loss too. I am older and therefore lose slower.
Hang in there..... I am sure you will do fine.
Peace

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

Hello all,
finally not ill all the time. Thanks you all for your advice and concern. Now I am wondering whatg is normal for weight loss. It has been 2 weeks since I have lost weight. I feel like I might be losing inches but no weight. I wish I had a big sister or brother who went through this so I can ask these silly questions too. I have no support groups near me in Amherst and I work full time and go to college.

Topic: Does anyone have Asthma/weight gain w/steriods?
I have Asthma, I'm planning to have surgery May/June. Now I'm fearful that I will not have enough sick time, as I'm using it now with another bought of Asthma. I only have 4 weeks, and I'm irritated!
I lost 25 lbs in 6 long months last year, only to have every lb plus more back when I was hospitalized for asthma in Sept (on 300 mg a day IV).
I guess my question is, does anyone out there have the same problem? Any way around it? I'd love to find out if steroid use has long term effects on metabolism. I'd just like to know I have someone else rowing this boat with me. I'm a RN myself- and I'm sure I know the answer- I would just like to hear from someone else that has this same problem and how to cope with it.

Looks like anyone can be an admin for these so hopefully I didn't step on anyone's feet by creating this I'll pass the admin over to whomever. I just wanted to play around with the technology that the site has to offer.
