I have a sleeve, but I think hot liquid goes down much easier than cold or room temp. I am 11 days post op and have no problems.

The more liquids you can get in the better. Chicken broth seems to go down the easiest.

Had to go to the clinic to get a few bags of fluid.  They say that is also why I was so nauseated.  So I hope this helps.  They gave me new med Zofran.  Today still nauseated but I am forcing water down.  Any idea how long this goes on before I feel normal again.

Get, I had RNY on December 22, missed christmas but now I will be around for alot more holidays.  Good Luck  and Way to go......
