Thanks everyone for posting!  There were more of you out there than I expected.  Your assuring words put me at ease.   I recently checked out Dr myers Blog and it said that he has done over 100 of them!  Now i just have to wait til mine gets approved.

What is a reasonable goal weight for you depends a LOT on your height (which you did not mention) as well as your overall body type, age, and heredity.

As far as the skin, that also depends...  on your age, how long you were heavy, and how much the skin has been stretched.  Also, skin on some areas may bounce back better than skin in other areas.

My surgery will be at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Interesting ties, I was born at White Cross Hospital which is now Riverside. Both parents died there as well. Kind of cool to have my rebirth there.

I am very impressed with Dr. Myers, he actually gives out his cell phone number and we are free to call any time. I had a high sugar this morning, called him, got a medication adjustment and on we go.
Very amazing for a doc to give out his cell. Unheard of, actually.
