Hello all!

I will be having a sleeve gastrectomy in a little over a week with Dr Teel and was looking for others out there. What was your experience? Any recommendations?

Hello I wish I knew also, I really got screwed and Im pissed I chose him over Dr. White and now I have to wait to get another surgery date. My surgery was scheduled for April 7th. It had to be something really bad because they said Darcy doesnt work there either. Did you have your surgery scheduled or were you close. Did you find another surgeon? Hey let meknow if you do find out what happened and if I find out I'll tell you. Take care and good luck with your journey!

There is a support group that meets in Westlake at the EMH Fitness Center last Monday of the month. The fitness center is on Detroit Rd, Rt 254 right near rt 83 intersection. Maybe this will be close enough for you to attend.

I've been there! I cried for days I was so scared. But know that you are in the most skilled hands you could have found. Dr. Schauer is the best! He may not be "Mr. Personality" but I really trust him as a surgeon. He did my RNY in '06 and also my gall bladder. This process is very difficult and there may be times you second guess yourself, but never have doubt in your surgeon. Hope all goes well for you. Good luck with the liquid diet. It's hard, but important.

Hi i am new at this, I am usually the silent person observing and learning. Now that I was given the date April fools Day, of all days, I'll never for get the date...I am having it at Cleveland Clinic Dr schauer is my Surgeon. Any imput will be greatly appreciated... I am terrified!

Hello OH family! I was wondering if any of Dr. Patrick White's patients are here? I was informed on 3/2/10 that my surgeon Dr. Brian Lane has resigned. My surgery was scheduled for 4/7/10 I was so upset to find out this information but since then I have had all my records transfered to his office, resubmitted and Thank God it went so fast its approved. I still have to complete a Dr. visit and a dietician visit then I will get a date. So is there anyone here that knows what he requires before surgery? My original Dr. required a 2 week full liquid diet. Thank you for any info you might have.
