Hi Robin,
I was nervous also, but mostly excited. The hardest part for me was the liquid diet. Have you started that yet? Whenever I would get nervous I would do a really good scrubbing on different parts of my house. By the time I got to my surgery date, my house was absolutely spotless!!

Topic: Insurance Reimbursement
I am in Ohio and had surgery in May of 2009. My insurance company, Anthem, said that I had an exclusion on my plan and it has taken me this long to get any type of response to my appeal from them. I have 4 letters of medical necessity from my doctors and would probably not live much longer without my surgery. This was the best thing ever but am trying to have my insurance company help pay for this wonderful, life saving surgery. Has anyone been able to appeal your insurance company and do you have any advice?? Thanks...

HI THERE- I LIVE IN THE CHILLICOTHE AREA. I AM HOPINGTO FORM ONE IN THIS TOWN AFTER MY SURGERY, IF THERE ISN'T ON STARTED BY THEN. MY SURGERY DATE IS APRIL1. AM SO EXCITED BUT MY NERVES AREN'T.

its been ages since I've been on OH. shows too through some added weight. On my way to getting back on track (again). Signed up for the Cinci event. Going to try to visit here more often. the main board is too busy for me.

I had surgery with Dr. Schauer at the Clinic almost one year ago. I am happy to report to you that I had an excellent experience. My surgery went well, Dr. Schauer is excellent and the nurses and after care was good. It takes a little while to get your energy back, but you will be fine.
I am only a few pounds from goal and have had an awesome ride.
Where do you live?? There is a great support group in Solon that I would love to tell you about.
I think the best thing is to have people to talk with along your journey.
