I'll be in Cuyahoga Falls 07/15 through 07/17 for the Dream Theater/Iron Maiden show! I was wondering if anyone from this board was going and/or if you wanted to meet up! I love making new friends, and I plan on traveling all over the country over the next year.

Let me know! :)

Dr. Curry was initially the doctor I was going to go through but in the end it was going to run me a few thousand bucks (something about services out of network..don't really remember).  I loved his staff and he was great

Dr. Curry is great, the support system is exceptional, and you can even join Fastrack.  An all in one package.  (Besides, the staff and patients are some of the funniest and friendliest people around.)

Had RNY in 12/05 and haven't found any of the 250+ pounds I'v e lost.

Topic: Saturday March 27th ZUMBA!
This is an open invite (don't need an invite to come though) for everyone to come out this Saturday March 27th to the Washington Township Rec Center for a Zumba Class.

It's the last one before spring break.

I know a ton of people have questioned what it is, and I think this Saturday would be a great chance to come out and try.  There are a ton of people who show up, each with their own pace.  (So you can totally get lost in the crowd) There's no right way of doing it... the fact that you show up is a plus!

We had an 89 year old lady in our class this week, and she went at her own pace.

So come out, and have some fun!!!

Cost is 3.50/4.00 depending if your a Washington Township resident.

LOL  I'm so glad you got on here and cleared that up!  Personally I thought you only specialized in the band.

Good to know

You're right about Dr. Anderson.  Her aftercare was never good for DSers, and I learned how to keep healthy out here on the DS board, sharing what we find out along the way.  Andrea U and Vitalady are key people for anyone on this board, too.  Those lacking such initiative are sure to parish.  Last time I went in, I was told that I don't look like their typical DSer, in that I'm healthier than the norm.  I had a frank talk with her on how some of the office's recommendations are sub-standard and she appeared to be listening, but then I saw one of her PA's publish a book with that same sub-standard information so I gave up, honestly.  It wasn't long after that when I heard that she wasn't doing them anymore.  She is very adamant to her patients what their commitment needs to be, but it's no guarantee that they'll be compliant when they walk out of that door, either.

Dr.s Maguire and Teel are still doing the DS at Miami Valley Hospital though.  They are much more enlightened about what the DSers need, too.

its my understanding that there aren't that many doctors in this area that do it at all.  I even think I read that dr. anderson no longer does the DS...but I could be totally wrong there. sorry if I am.

Topic: RE: Anyone had the sleeve gastrectomy with Dr Teel?
Hi, I had mine with Dr. Teel. I am sorry I didn't see this right away, I don't come on this board very often.

I LOVED having him for my surgeon. I haven't had any complications either. Things have been smooth for me the whole time. The first two weeks were hard but that's expected.

Recommendations, just concentrate on your fluids for the first two weeks. That is overwhelming enough. Feel free to message me any time. Maybe I will see you one of the support group meetings.

Good luck tomorrow!
