Sounds like you've experienced some dumping! I wouldn't worry about it if you've stopped by now, but if not, defininitely call Dr. Z on Monday!

I am 17 months out and have never experienced dumping. Well, tonight I am having the weirdest "movements". I am wondering if anyone else has had this before and is it dumping?

Symptoms: No more gas or gas pains than usual. I haven't had anything out of the ordinary today or overloaded eating. But I have been running to the bathroom for the last 30 minutes non-stop! And the outcome is very "fluffy" looking. Like marshmallow fluff and looks greasy (actually floats on top of the water like an island). Light colored as well and practically blows out my rear. I know this is really not the best of subjects, but like I said, I haven't had any problems in 17 months and then tonight, this suddenly. Not willing to call the doc for something like this on a Saturday night so I thought I'd poll my fellow OH'rs.

Ok everyone, give me the straight poop.........

Topic: RE: Kent support group???
Maria,

I am from Kent! The BEST support group for her is the Summa LIFE WLS Support Group. It meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at Summa Akron City's 55 Arch Street professional building in the basement meeting space. It is a fun and informative group with about 50-70 people attending a meeting.

Here are the upcoming meeting topics:

May 26, 2010
Speaker: Panel of Dr(s), Case Manager, Nurse, Dietitian
This will be an open panel discussion with the group. Questions will be taken from the floor, as well as collected prior to the evening. In addition, recipes for dishes that will be brought to the picnic (6/12) should be submitted on this evening...Our dietitian will be reviewing them for appropriateness and we will be compiling them to distribute all recipes at that June meeting.

Bariatric Picnic/Bicycle Club ride - A day of fun…details to follow.

June 23, 2010 Speaker: TBD - This month was to have been a discussion of triggers that cause us to eat, to relapse and the like. We also would address the unique situations encountered in the summer: grad parties, showers, weddings, picnics, fairs, amusement parks, vacations….and what to do about it.

Also, have her check out our WLS bicycle club at
www.spinoffcyclists.com. She will meet a lot of local people in the club.

Topic: Update on Ohio Weight Loss Bicycle Club
A few months back I posted about a new bicycle club that I and other WLS patients formed in the Akron –Canton area. I thought that I would give you an update. The club is moving right along and doing well. We ride a couple of times a week; a shorter mid-week ride and a longer weekend ride. We’ve finished 8 rides and have had anywhere from 2-9 folks on the rides.

It has been a rewarding experience. I’ve seen folks who have not ridden a bike in years get on and ride for miles. I was amazed on an early ride that a rider was so nervous when she showed up that she could not complete an 8 mile ride. She was amazing. Not only did she do the 8 miles, she ended up doing 18 miles that day! We have seen people of all abilities ride. All feedback has been so good. It is truly easier to ride a bike than you think.

If you are interested in knowing more or riding with us, visit our web site at www.spinoffcyclists.com. We have galleries of photos from our rides, as well as, rider comments. You don’t need to live in NE Ohio. Some of our weekend rides will be on trails in other parts of Ohio. Here are some interesting rides we have coming up. Hope to see you on a bike soon!

On June 12 we are having a kick-off event. There will be a fun poker run on the Towpath Trail and a bicycle fair. Immediately following our event will be the annual Summa WLS Group’s picnic. I know everyone is welcome. Mark your calendar and plan on spending a fun filled day in lovely Canal Fulton. Watch for more details as we get closer to June 12. http://www.spinoffcyclists.com/calendar/12538506/
