Good luck on 9/21, I am sure it will be a good day for you, it is my birthday after all.
Yes, this is a quiet board for sure, but I still check in to see if anyone is talking.
I had a sleeve on 3/10/10

What Kim said!
The Main forum or surgery forums are the best place for info.
I don't know why but the Ohio board stays pretty quiet.
Best of luck with you surgery.

Sorry you haven't found the support you were hoping to find.
The Ohio message board is pretty quiet. Might I suggest that you try the Main forum or the forum specific to your surgery.
I'm a patient of Dr. Curry's too. Feel free to contact me if I can be of any help.

I didn't have any complications!
I was in the hospital 3 days/2 nights. When they switched the pain meds around the evening on my surgery I had a very mild allergic reaction & started itching. The Dr. called in a script for something & I was fine.
I walked a little that 1st night & then walked the rest of the time I was there.
No problems once I got home. I have had a few times I've gotten sick from eating too much or too fast. White meat chicken if it is too dry or well done beef is not a friend of mine. But those are learnings along the way.

Hi Tracy,
I'm pre WLS too. If you haven't figured it out by now, there's not much happening on this site. I generally go to the main board or to the surgery board for the type of surgery you're having.
I'm planning on having the sleeve procedure; so I tend to hang out on the VSG board. What type of surgery are you planning to have?
I wish you well and hope you have a quick and painless recovery.

How long after surgery before I am able to start going to the gym? Is it going to be hard to do crunches because of where the band is? Im looking for friends who can relate and anyone who has advice... thanks...

Topic: TVP in Meatloaf/Meatballs Question.
I am wanting to make Meat loaf and meatballs with ground turkey and use TVP instead of Bread crumbs. Should I use it dry or reconstitute it?

Topic: Dr. Sonpal
Hello Ohio. I'm currently enrolled in the St. Vincent's New Life program. I'm set for gastric bypass with Dr. Sonpal, if I pass my tests. I don't qualify for the lapro, since my BMI is so high.
So far the worst is keeping up a weight loss for six months. I'm half way through. Coordinating the correct testing and results has been a hoot.
Has anyone here had the non-lapro?... with Dr. Sonpal?

What kind of complications did you have after your surgery?
