Been having alot of pain in back of head and neck and have had several injections with no releif. Taking ultram for pain but can't seem to find anything to help with inflamation. Dr keeps prescribing anti inflamatories and I keep telling him that's a no-no. Where can our physicians get the update info for all us WLS patients? Seems some patients are taking nsaids and no problems but I am wary!!!
I think that NSAIDS can reek havoc on your tum, and you definitely don't want to risk that. I know it only sounds natural that your PCP should do the responsible thing and look up the specific limitations with your surgery, but like children, we may need to spoon-feed them. Print out some resources for them, highlight the important stuff and instruct them to keep it in your file. When they prescribe an NSAID, tell them immediately that you need an alternative, and don't leave the office without one.
