I'M A NEWBIE

Hi, I'm so glad to find this ohio board! I've been lurking around to learn what I can about the lapband. Now, that I've decided that I want to have this surgery. I decided to start posting and hope to meet new friends here. My name is Deb, but my aka is "jeannie" middle name. I'm 51yrs old and recently got engaged to the man that I love on valentines day. He has a wonder 13yr old son! I'm getting a chance at being a stepmother. I wasn't able to have children of my own. But my seven sisters made up for it. Gave my parents 22 grandchildren! So, I'm looking forward to this journey with everyone. God Bless Deb

Deb, I want to welcome you to the group. I found so much Love and support from this wonderful group of men and women. I have never seen such a loving caring bunch. Someone is always here to listen when you have questions or just need a little shoulder to lean on. We are always here for one another and you can count on us being there for you. Congrats on the engagement and you making the choice to have the WLS. It was the best decision of my life and I have managed to lose 169 pounds since last June. My head is reeling from how fast this year has gone. So many new things I am able to do that I had been unable to do for so many years. Its like beginning a new life again. Hi Deb ... Welcome! Congrats on your engagement ... best wishes to you both. Does your man have any single brothers?!?!?!? lol I just turned 52 I have also just decided to take the WLS journey and am working on getting the surgery lined up (hopefully) this summer. Susan
