Chagrin Falls/Solon/Orange???

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone on these boards lives in this general area. I know many people whom have had this done in our area but wanted to meet more people. I had my surgery at SVC with Dr. Ben Meir 9 months ago. I weighed 229 and am at goal at 128! Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions for the newbies or any post-ops. I also have info on a great support group for east-siders. Melanie

I live in the heights, not too very far from Chagrin Falls. My mother had her surgery with Ben Meir. I had mine done at the Cleveland Clinic. What kind of support groups are there around the east side?

Hi, I live in Twinsburg and am just starting this process. Someone told me today it was nine months from beginning to end for her. Wow! She had the surgery at University and she had to go to support groups before her surgery! I was considering Akron Medical Center--Walter Chlysta, but his secretary kept 'forgetting' to send in stuff and didn't seem to really be very proactive about my surgery at all. Now, I'm thinking of Cleveland Clinic. Congrats on reaching your goal!

Im from the Kent/Ravenna area. I had my surgery one year ago at st. v's. I had Dr. Sonpal. Wish we had a support group in our area. Cleveland is just too far for me. I started at 346. I have lost 140 and would like to lose 30 more.

Hi...I live in Cleveland Heights and I had my surgery in Virginia...so I do not have any people here as a support group and would love to meet people in the area! I had a d/s in Aug 2002 and have lost 274 lbs. I was at goal then picked up 40 lbs over the last year (not happy about that!). I am struggling to lose it again so I can have my plastics...and could use all the support I can get!
