Well, today I feel a little better. I have been forcing myself to walk. I had a shower this aftrnoon and my nausea is a little better. I'm mostly getting in my liquids sf-popsicles, sf-jello, water. I just feel soo full. one or two nibbles of anything makes me miserably full. Please tell me this is normal. BTW I'm down 7 lbs. YEAH!!!

It is normal to feel full after a couple of bites. But in a week or so you will gradually take in more food. Your pouch is healing now... so you really cannot eat that much. Just keep up what you are doing now.. walking and drinking and eating a few bites of food every 2-3 hours.. you will be ok sweetie. Take Care and if you need anything just hollar.... Hugs Julie

hey Josie!! Glad to see you on here. I was so surprised to see you in the hospital on tues! wow, you are up and at 'em. Since I have to go to the bathroom so often I get my walking in by going up and down the stairs. I feel nausas also but I take that pill & I'm fine. I bought a mixer (magic bullet) and mix everything up. Doing baby food too. So I'm doing ok

Josie, My Prayers must of kicked in for you. I was hoping that you didnt have anything serious going on with you and have a setback. You are going through all the normal steps of those early days. Just take things slow with the eating and your body will let you know when you are ready for a little more. Isnt it amazing how much better getting and shower and feeling warm and clean makes you feel. I remember just standing there and enjoying it until the ho****er tank ran cold. Clean hair.. What a great feeling after rolling around in bed all that time. I am so proud of you on the weight loss and remember you most likely will lose a lot more once you are up moving more getting rid of all those IV fluids you were given. My Dr told me that 15 pounds of fluids are retained for about 2 weeks post op. The more you move the fast they dissipate. I am so relieved you are feeling better, and are now one of us LOSERS.. Love ya Laura 310/170/130 surgeons goal 160

Laura You are absolutely right, I felt so much better after showering. I was fortunate enough to placed in a bariatric suite at OSU on my third day(of course my husband was very pursisitant,in a nice way, with the head nurse). Well, this suite was awesome!! HUGE! The shower in the room was large enough for a pee-wee football team. My husband is such a wonderful man and dearly loves me, he got undressed and got in that shower with me and bathed me from head to toe. I am so grateful for him. He did it again for me yesterday at home. Great guy!! About the Magic Bullet, I think I might look into getting me one, sounds like a great investment. Thanks again Laura Josie down 10 lbs

What a wonderful man.. You are so lucky!!!! My daughter helped me. My husband was useless at the hospital. He hates hospitals and just sat their looking at his watch wanting to do his time and get the hell out... I slept while he was there. I read storeis like yours and wonder what is wrong with my husband.. I wonder Take Care Barb

Barb, My husband is the same way! If he didn't have to go with me when I had my surgery I am sure he would have stayed home. I had my gallbladder out 2 weeks ago and they were waiting for a room for me to go to so I stayed in post-op for awhile after the surgery. He came in complaining to me that he had to wait so long and he was hungry etc.. You know what I told him to go home! I had other concerned...like pain....to deal with and I don't need him! He left and complained again the next day....at least I went home then. What a moron! I guess we all can't be so lucky with our DH's! Sue
