Input - Please

Does anybody know anything about Dr. McGuire? He was recommended to me by my PCP and I just wanted y'all's input. Thanks in advance. Lise

It's... Maguire. I have a friend that went to him about fours years ago and she is doing fine. She likes him. He has is own support group online. I don't know what they're called.

I had Rita Anderson from that same pratice. I like them.

Dr. Maguire runs a great practice. I'm 5 months out and I had Dr Gary Anderson as my surgeon. Dr. Maguire assisted. The surgery went well and I've been doing great ever since. I'll tell you, his staff is top notch. They are always willing to help and will fight hard with the insurance companies to get coverage. Dr. M. has been doing Gastric Bypass for like 30 years, so he knows what he's talking about. The RNY Support Group meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month. I recommend going to that so that you get a feel for the group. Dr. M. usually stops by to do a q&a with us. Please write if you have any questions. We're really blessed to have a lot of great surgeons between Dayton and Cinci, so you will have a tough choice to make but Dr. M and the Dr.s Anderson will take care of you! Hi Lisa, Dr. Maguire performed my open RNY on August 2, 2005. I am just 1 month out, have lost 31+ pounds and am doing great! Dr. Maguire is a brilliant surgeon and know volumes about bariatric surgery and is very thorough. He is not all warm and fuzzy, however, so just don't look for much of that from him! LOL!!!
