Wood Country Hos. Medicare= $$ up front?? (Bowling Green)

I was told that Wood Country Hospital in Bowling Green, Ohio is now accepting Medicare as payment for WLS. The lady said that Medicare will pay 80%. Ok. Tonight I was on the phone with a friend and she said that also you are required to open an account and have at least $3000 in case an emergency comes up. Is that true? I sure hope not. Anyone deal with this situation before? If so, let us know how it works. Thanks.

Hi Mark, Well that's more than they were accepting before from Medicare. He is a really nice guy, speaking of, I should write him, been a long time! Hey remember the big guy on the news about 2/3 yrs back that was having such a hard time getting approved for surgery? Mark, I don't know anything about Wood County, but I am a friend of Randy's, (mentioned in the first response to your post). In fact, I saw him last night! He works with my husband. Anyway, I am an Obesity Help chapter leader and I'd like to personally invite you to a support group meeting.
