Question for Dr.C

Hello, I was wondering if Lexapro is safe to take for my depression if not, which is the best chosen antidepressant for Gastric Bypass patience. What would be a safe dose? I lost my father in April and I have been having panic attacks and been very depressed. I am taking Ativan for the panic attacks but I need to find out what is the best for me being I am 16 months out from my surgery and weighing in at 124 pounds. Please share with me your advice. Effexor made me feel foggy in the head. Also, I have been noticing for the past 3 months my deltoid on my right arm stings when I touch it. I am wondering what is causing the stinging when I touch it. I do take my centrum chewables daily. Thank you so much! Gayenell

We have lots of patients who take Lexapro and I'm not aware of any problems with it. Not sure about the deltoid thing... C
