A bit curious...

I'm doing my research on where I should have surgery done... I live in Bowling Green and I keep hearing things about the Wood County Hospital's program... Has anyone had any experiences? I registered for an information session with them on the 17th, but I'm still a bit nervous about going. I'm also currently self pay, which is horrible, but it's what I can get right now. So, any experiences, advice, yes, no, thumbs up, thumbs down? I'd love to hear from you guys before making any decisions. Thanks! Elizabeth

As far as selfpay goes, Dr. Curry in Cincinnati is on of the most reasonable. His web site is newyourealyou.com

I was looking at his website, he seems like an excellent doctor. Do you know about how much his self pay would be? I don't know much about it, but I was told once to look at about 30,000 dollars self pay, and that was several years ago. I guess I'm still a little wet behind the ears when it comes to this!

Make the trip to see Dr. White in Toledo, or Dr. Curry in Cincinnati. I have nothing good to say about what they are doing in BG, but perhaps others do. I've lost 2 friends through those Dr's now, over a year out both of them, why? NO AFTERCARE. Too much bowel removed, my friend Lisa was never given Nutrional info. Maybe they've changed, but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
