Does anyone know any one that can help me

I have been waiting to get an approval since Oct. 2004. I have healthy start healthy families medicaid. I have not heard anything. The place that I have signed up to have surgery says that they have not heard any things either. Can anyone help me out. Please. Stacey

Hi Stacey, Waiting for approval can be very stressful especially when dealing with Medicaid or any other government agency. It took me about 8 months of waiting before I was approved. The wonderful thing about OSU Medical Center is that they do all of the work in dealing with the insurance companies including Medicaid. Talk to your Dr. office to see if there is anything they can do to assist you in finding out your status. If they can't help then call the Medicaid office yourself to see if you can get answers. Hi Stacey, Medicaid sure does like to take it's sweet o time. There's a few of us on this board that knows this ALL to well. If it's been 8 months you should be hearing something soon. (crossing fingers) Who did you sign up for surgery with? Who submitted your info to Medicaid to be approved? And I was reading your profile... under the insurance info.. Who wants $2000? I paid NO out of pocket expenses for my surgery, however I did have to travel from Toledo to Cincinnati to get my tool. hugs and prayers,
