I Have A DATE w/ Dr. Mikami

Hello All! I hope everyone is having a very nice evening!! I just wanted to let you know I had my appointment with Dr. Mikami today and have scheduled my surgery for June 16th 2005 at 8:00am. I have to go to the hospital the day before on June 15th to get a Greenfield Filter put in my neck or pelvic vein because of my PE's (Pulmunary Embolisms......I had 2 Blood Clots in my lungs!) This filter is a temporary filter and in for only 2-3 weeks. I will be admitted the day I get the filter put in stay till the next morning then off to surgery I go!! ( I would have had my surgery sooner but have to wait till I get back from Las Vegas June 12th) Most of you know how nervous I have been because of my PE & CHF history from when I gave birth to my youngest son in Jan. 05. After talking to Dr. Mikami I feel soooooooooo much better and so does my hubby!! I definetly feel at peace with this decision to have surgery and feel its the best thing for me to live an long and HEALTHY life!! Thank you all for your support and loving hearts!! I really don't know what I would have done without you all to answer my questions and to know your experiences!! Many, Many Hugs, Tabitha Also I wanted to let you all know Paula made it back from Flordia Saturday and will be returning to work tomorrow!! She went for her follow up appointment today w/ Dr. Mikami and has done so wonderful with her weightloss, I will let her tell you when she gets online tomorrow! You'll all be so proud of her!!

Tabitha, I am so happy for you and isnt Dr Mikami a sweetheart. I felt so confident in him even with all my pre existing conditions and my past problematic surgeries. But he was a man of his word and did all that he said he would for me. I cant say enough good things about him. Oh come on.. Give us a little hint about Paula.. LOL Geezy Cow you are no fun Tabitha. Dr. Mikami was really nice and made me feel very good about having the surgery and my risks of blood clots......having the filter put in is also a good thing too I think!! Anyway..about you know who.........shhhhhhhhhh..........don't tell but she has lost 50 pounds in less then 2 months!!! Her 2 months isn't even until May 28th........12 days from today!! HELLO!!! Isn't that wonderful!!! I wanted to thank you for your last email and for sharing your experience!! I really do appreciate it!! Love, Tabitha

Tabitha... I am so glad you finally have your surgery date. I know it's been a long road for you, but you will look back and realize that it was completely worth every hurdle. I had no doubt that you would like Dr. Mikami. He's a great surgeon. I will say our surgeons have the best bedside manor. I knew he would answer your questions and put you to ease about all of those issues. Just remind me when you are in and I will try to stop by and see you too!
