calcium
Cindy,
That should be good! One question...what kind of calcium are you taking, and are you taking it all at once or divided doses? Calcium Citrate is the recommended type because it is more readily absorbed for us wls folks, and recommendations now are you should only take about 500 mg at any one time because that is the most we can absorb at any one time...
Now, just so you know, I take about 900 mg all at once. I get a fairly high amount in my diet as well, (cheese, yogurt, milk) and I am finding that my family history with kidney stones that we seem to absorb calcium at a higher rate than normal...so I don't try to go way overboard with it. Plus I do resistance traning which is also great for the bones!
Hope that helps! Don't forget your B vitamins! B12 and Thiamin are biggies. I guess they seeing a fairly decent amount of folks with deficiencies. B12 sublingual is what our nutritionist recommend. You can get it at GNC for about 20$ for a box of 120. Theirs are cherry flavored and aren't that bad really. Just pop it under the tounge and let it disolve.
Hugs,
Val
