Is this normal?
My husband tells me that my scent that i am producing is more acidic. He will not hardly have oral sex with me due to this reason. Is thnis normal and how do i fix it. I am about 8 weeks out and have only lost 45lb's. I have had an infection which put me in the hospital and then I have had to be dialated twice and getting ready to doit a third time! I hate this...i am wondering if it was really worth it to lose weight.
I do know that you are getting rid of ketones everywhere right now, so maybe that is effecting it. I am not sure. Just a SWAG (scientific wild a$$ guess)
Have you noticed bad breath as well? It usually lasts about 3 months give or take, so you are almost over that first hump. The beginning is the hardest.
ONLY 45 pounds? My gosh. Could you have done that in 8 weeks before surgery? I know it's rough, we all do. We have all been there. But, you will look back one day and realize that it was worth it. At least in my opinion. I cried everday for the first two weeks I felt so bad, but now, looking back, heck yea, I would do it again in a NY minute.
So, hang in there sweetie, your body will get itself rolling but it has some MAJOR adjustments to make. You are excreting all that fat burning waste everywhere (urine, skin, breath) so you are gonna be icky for a little bit, but just remind yourself you are getting rid of that nasty yucky fat!
Take care, and I hope you get to feeling better soon!
Hugs,
Val
Totally normal!! It's the ketones in your system from the weight loss. You also mentioned an infection so I'm assuming that you were on antibiotics which also affects your "taste". Also some vitamins cause this. There's not much you can do. The antibiotics will eventually leave your system and the ketones remain through the "rapid weight loss" phase.Try to drink more water which will help some. Hope this helps and congratulations.
