i am about 31/4 years out from having lap rny at osu. i have some skin issues but am on medicaid ,not a large apron but enough to bother me and cause some back pain ,what are the chances for medicaid to pay for removell of it . just stomach. lost from 340 to 215 thanks mary

Mary, I'm probably not the person to answer this as I don't do this surgery. I do know that they will require medical necessity, meaning you will have to show that you are suffering some sort of problems like pain, fungal infections, etc. Make sure every time you see any doctor you ask them to document these problems so you can submit it all to Medicaid. Please make sure you take pictures of the infections under the fold of the skin. And as Dr. Curry said you'll have to have your Dr. document it for 3 months least that's what my insurance company says. I can tell you now that most insurance and I don't know about medicaid but you have to lose 100 pds and be 18 months out. Good Luck I'm still fighting with the insurance company. Still waiting to hear about my appeal
