OT...

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that our Levy for our schools passed! I know I had mentioned it to a few people here, asked for prayers and support, and I want to thank all of you for just that! It has been a long hard battle on this end, and if anyone could have seen the joy on my kids' face when the election results were announced, they would have realized how important this really is. We were facing the end of EVERYTHING. Sports, extracurricular activities, including prom, different clubs, and 200 jobs being abolished, and 85 teaching positions. Not to mention effecting the whole community as far as property values as well. Who wants to live in a community that doesn't support schools? Southwestern has operated 10 years without anytype of levies or tax increases, our books are open and regularly audited. I think that is beyond commendable. We have had to build 4 new school buildings to accomodate our growth. So this was an important step for us. So, I am happy to say we have a Freshman Cheerleader who will get to cheer, and an upcoming Sophomore Powerlifter who will get to powerlift. Thanks guys!
