Eating the day before surgery

What did most of you eat the day prior to surgery when Your Dr wasnt too concerned about what you ate. What worked out best for you?? Thanks LM

Dr. Melvin didn't say anything about eatting except the night before midnight. Like I said I ate at a restraunt ( light mind you) the night before. Shake, fries, hamburger. I shared with my wife. I am kind of glad I did eat light. They won't let you go home until you pass gas or go to the bathroom. This lets them know your plumbing is correct. Just be careful. Richard

Thank you Richard for your input. I have a rather irritable bowell sitution now so its hard to say whats going to happen post op.. I might be in depends. LOL You have a really great day. Its chilly here this morning, But the SUN is out.. Yeeeeeeha!!

My Doctor had me to eat a light breakfast, then nothing but clear fluids and nothing after midnight. Hugs, Lisa

I just ate soups and a sandwich (small) the day before. I didn't want to end up with bowel problems in the hospital.

I was on a 10 full liquid diet before the surgery. At first I wasn't to comfortable with the idea of having liquids for 10day but it wasn't that bad and did give me a jumpstart on my weight loss. I wasn't allowed nothing after mid-night the night before surgery.
