Appeals - Gary Viscio, Attorney

I just wanted to share some information with everyone. I have been fighting with Medical Mutual of Ohio since Feb. 2004 to get approval for surgery. I had Mr. Viscio write a letter and send in with my last appeal. He had requested that my appeal be sent out for an external review. Well I got a letter today from Medical Mutual and they didn't even send my information out for an external review, they went ahead and overturned my denial and approved me for surgery. I would recommend Mr. Viscio to anyone who is trying to get approved.

I also fought with Medical Mutua...since Aug. 2004. I also had a lawyer *****quested a copy of my policy, and communicated with them in other ways. I compiled all of my materials for the external review along with x-rays of my joints...I sent it to them WITH OUT a letter from my lawyer...they over turned the denial before going to external review as well. I will have my surgery THIS Thursday!!! They also NEVER even looked at the x-rays as that part of the package was never opened. I beleive that having a lawyer definitly helps...but things at Med.
