Consult finally scheduled!!

Hello all! I just wanted to update that I finally got a call from Dr. Mikami's office today and got my consult scheduled! Its May 16th at 1:30pm, it was the soonest they could get me in!! 3 WEEKS FROM NOW!! For all you pre-ops that may have Dr. Mikami as a Surgeon....he only sees patients on Mondays......the rest he does surgery!! It has taken 2 weeks and 1 day since my approval to get my letter and get my appointment. So it looks like I'm having surgery after my Vegas trip June 7th, but probably better that way........now I can get all the free booze I want....which we know after surgery booze is a big no-no!! Well just wanted to let you all know, most of you know I've been patiently waiting for my letter and consult! (Well trying to be patient anyway) You guys are wonderful!! Luv, Tabitha

Tabitha, Congratulations! Maybe you will be joining the June 2005 surgery date messageboard! It always amazes me how differently each doctor/hospital is! I had my initial consult in November before anything was submitted to insurance etc. and got my date right after the insurance approval. Have fun in Vegas! I will be 1 week out when you are there! YES!!! Its about time! Congratualtions! I know this has been very frustrating for you. But I am so happy you have that consult date.. it is reality now. I am so happy! You will be able to enjoy your trip now. Hugs, Julie
