HI,,I'm new here
HI everyone- I'm the new kid on the block,,,been lurking here for several months and finally took the time to join you all. I've been reading your posts and they have been so helpful, Thank you all very much. I had surgery Feb. 22,05 and have done fine, well actually those first 3-4 weeks weren't much fun, had trouble drinking the protein drinks-the smell made me retch so pretty much lived on cottage cheese for 4 meals a day which got to be pretty boring, but that is much better now and the protein drinks are going down fine, I love the Syntrax Fuzzy Navel and the Anywhey unflavored and have been able to get at least 60-70 grams a day,YIPPEEEE. I ordered the Unjury unflavored and it should arrive this week, so hopefully I will like it too-meat just doesn't appeal to me at this point so I need to supplement a lot right now. I sure hope that gets better soon too, but meat was never my favorite thing anyway. I used to love cheese--now it's ok but not nearly as good as I remember it being,,can only eat it once or twice a week. Anyone else have similar experiences? And I suddenly want my food much more spicy? Is that normal? If I don't make it really spicy it just tastes bland and yucky. I have decided I have the "metabolism of a slug", I've only lost 35 pounds so far, but that's a lot better than gaining now isn't it?
Only 3 more weeks until I can eat salad---can't wait,,,I miss my veggies!
Hi Wanda
Welcome, glad you are posting! And 35 pounds doesn't sound bad to me, that's a big difference on your bod I'm sure! One of the doctors (Dr. Curry) sometimes posts on here and he always says "slow and steady, that's the key!"
I only like certain brands of cheese now, others don't taste good anymore. Still love spicey foods, as before. Also not a meat lover but sounds like you are doing good on your proteins!
Your salad days are coming!
Best wishes,
Kitty B.
