Help with Constipation

I had surgery 2/25/05 now 2 months out. I am having so much trouble with constipation it's crazy. I have to take liquid laxatives just to go to the bathroom. And everytime I eat what little I eat seems to feel like it is stuck in my pouch. My stomach hurts and feels bloated. Isometimes throw up and only phelgm comes up most of the time. Even when I drink liquids not much comes out of the other end...LOL I've heard someone say something about the stoma may need to be dilated or something like that. Is this a inpatient procedure or outpatient and does it hurt. I was told that I may end up with some diarrhea but so far haven't had any, only constipation. Iam losing the weight so far 38 lbs. but why does it feel like everything is stuck when I eat? PLEASE HELP ASAP... Love All Karen

You probably should check with your doctor's office to see if they think you should be checked since you feel like food is getting stuck. As far as the constipation, try a small glass of prune juice (1/2 cup) or so and see if that helps. chris
