I NEVER KNEW YOU EXISTED!!!!
THis is my first time one the OHIO message board...I didn't know this existed and I am on here ALLLLLLL the time. Wow what a blonde moment. I am at the June message board all the time and the regular one but never at the OHIO one. I am soooo glad I found YOU!
I have been in serious need of support, my 15 yr. old son was diagnosed with a brain tumor in March and had emergency surgery 2 days later. I have taken a leave of absence from teaching because we have Phys. THerapy and Occupational therapy 3 days a week and all the other things that go along with recover. ( Boy did God prepare me for this or what with my own surgery?)
But the problem i am facing is the old reasons I use to have begun to resurface. SCARRRRY!
I am 10months out, have lost 114 lbs. ( 287 down to 173) but am really struggling to keep my head above water. I just am really scared I will not be able to keep it together. Exercising has come to almost a complete standstill too. (Did I mention that I don't dump on sugar ?) Sooo any words of wisdom from fellow OHIOians....would be most welcome.
I know I could not take care of Jared if it wasn't for the weighloss...for that I am so thankful, but the fear of digression (is that the right word) is still there.
ANyway...nice to see you....all of you.

Cindy,
I really feel for you. As a fellow teacher we want things to go so perfect and when they don't we feel out of control. Look . . . you are going through a lot at this point in your life if you take care of yourself you will be a better mom to your son. Eat right and you will be more empowered to help your son. I know how proud your son is for what you've accomplished with your wls. If you have little strenght to do it for yourself then do it for your ailing son! Doesn't he deserve it?
All the best to you and Jared!
Melanie
Hi Cindy,
I am from Byesville, so we are almost neighbors. I am still post op but not for long, so I am not good at giving any advice yet. But I did want you to know I am here and if you ever need a human voice to talk to you can give me a call. It sounds like you are dealing with a lot right now, and doing the very best you can. I am encouraged that you are taking notice of the old habits creeping back in and you are willing to stop them in their tracks. Just try to think back at how excited and how good you felt when you were beginning to lose and see real results. Maybe you could channel some of the stress and loss of control in your own life into exercise and watching what you are eating a little more closely. Like I said, I am still post op and not the best person to give you advice.. Just know you have a neighbor in Guernsey County who is on your side!!
Hugs,
Laura
